The Splashathon is held every year to raise money for TOMMY’S. This event involves babies, toddlers and young children who have been sponsored to complete a swimming challenge. The money raised will go towards TOMMY’S medical research information programmes, which aim to prevent premature birth, stillbirth and miscarriage.
My 1 year old niece was part of this special day and had a wonderful time dressed up as a mermaid! Mummy was a female version of Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean. The theme was pirates and mermaids and how cute they all looked. The little boys had their bandannas, eye patches, swords and blown up parrots. Even the parents joined in on the fun with their bandannas on, eye patches and ripped trousers and shirts. It was a lovely fun day all in the name of charity.
