Sarruga Insectes - A Night Carnival in Newbury

It was an exciting and eventful evening out in Newbury watched by many along with some drunken locals who joined in on all the fun.  The atmosphere was electric and I have never seen so many excited children waiting for the rather ‘large’ creepy crawlies to amble on by.  And they didn’t let them down! Even I had a little neck ache after countless shots were taken with my head tilted so far back. The best by a long way was the HUGE green insect which I believe was a Praying Mantis.

This Parade started outside the Methodist Church on Northbrook St, Newbury and finished at the Corn Exchange with the finale being the Praying Mantis killing the ants and spider!

The legendary Spanish Artists Sarruga presented a spectacular night-time parade where incredible bicycle powered giant insects paraded the streets vibrant with colour, overwhelmingly massive, with dramatic music and a Praying Mantis with serious attitude!  It was a wonderful and inspiring evening had by all.
